Groups

Bible Study
This very happy group meets with Father John on Thursday evenings from 7.15pm to 8.30pm. Having evolved from our activities for the Year of the Eucharist, the group has studied the Gospels of John and Matthew and St Paul's letter to the Romans. Currently studying the Gospel of Luke. New participants always welcome.

Divine Mercy Group
Every Thursday at 6.25pm the group meets to recite the Divine Mercy chaplet and pray for the particular intentions inspired by St Faustina's novena. All are welcome to come along. They also promote the celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy on the Second Sunday of Easter.
Syro Malabar Catholics
An Eastern Catholic Church
Many new parishioners have arrived from Kerala in recent years. They are all members of the Syro Malabar Eastern Catholic Church. Mass (Holy Qrbana) in the Syro Malabar Rite is celebrated monthly at St Simon's at 5.30pm on the last Saturday of the month.
Mothers Group
The ‘Mothers Group’ meet for tea/coffee after the Saturday 10am Mass. All parishioners are welcome to join them for a friendly Saturday morning ‘get-together’. Donations are collected for the tea and coffee and the mothers decide on a parish project or other worthy cause to which the proceeds are given. The mothers also request Masses to be offered for such intentions as Vocations, the First Communion Children, etc. showing in this way how much they have the parish very much in their hearts and prayers.
Polish Community
in Ashford has its own informative website. Mass is celebrated monthly in the Polish language at St Simon's.
